About Me
I’m a Chicago-based writer and editor who has focused on health, medicine, and the business of healthcare for more than 20 years.
I bring peace of mind to my clients and editors. My writing—informed, compassionate, and thoughtful—will meet or exceed your expectations. With me, you can relax knowing your project will get done on time and within budget.
You and I will collaborate effectively—as much or as little as you wish—and you can be confident that your colleagues and subject matter experts will feel comfortable talking with me. I “get” what they do and have endless respect and compassion for those who provide clinical care, as well as those who receive it.
Here’s what you can expect me to bring to your project:
Precise, accurate prose that stands up to medical review
Engaging voice
Exacting research skills
Strategic focus
Low-maintenance work style
Sensitivity to your style, voice, and priorities
Outside the office, classical music is my main passion. I play viola, my husband plays cello, and our kids are musical, too. You can find us playing in orchestras and chamber groups around Chicago, or teaching in our private studio.
The essence of being a musician is the ability to translate into sound the profoundest of human thoughts and emotions. To tell a musical story, if you will.
Achieving technical mastery to understand and transmit the composer’s intentions while communicating with other musicians is also important. Over time, that technical skill becomes so innate, such an extension of your mind and body, that it harmonizes seamlessly with those around you as you create music together.
And so it is with the writing I do for clients: technical skill thoughtfully balanced to harmonize as part of a greater whole.
